NAAS Leadership Summit 2026
Dr. Emadelden Fouad, an Associate Professor of Physics at Florida Polytechnic University and a member of the Florida Academy of Sciences Council, attended the National Association of the Academy of Sciences Leadership Summit in Chicago (July 2026), a two-day gathering of state science academies focused on leadership, innovation, and cross-state collaboration. The summit combined lightning talks, peer-exchange roundtables, strategy sessions, and a joint workshop with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). Dr. Fouad presented in the State Academies Lightning Talks, focusing on “Growing Florida’s Next Generation of Scientists”.
